Scented Sleep Pillow - Rosemary
In times of old, mattresses were stuffed with grass and aromatic herbs. Later, as beds became more sophisticated, small sleep pillows were used to induce relaxation. Even if you don’t find the properties of a scented pillow soporific, you will certainly enjoy the sweet aroma it will lend to your bed linen. The most versatile type is a bedroom pillow which incorporates a small pocket, into which you insert a sachet of your favourite pot-pourri or sleep inducing aromatic mixture.
30g (1 oz) each lavender flowers, rosemary sprigs and crushed bay leaves
2 drops Bergamot essential Oil
Mix all the ingredients together then transfer to a brown bag lined with waxed paper. Store somewhere dry and cool for two weeks, stirring the contents occasionally. Spoon into a sachet then tie up the neck and pop into pillow’s pocket. The sachet is easily removed when the cover is laundered.
