In the Summer horses and ponies are hassled by flies all day long. There are many products available and many home made recipes however there is a consistent view on the essential oils that may work. This pack contains the 5 oils most popular for Equine fly Spray recipes. The pack contains a 10ml bottle each of Tea tree, Eucalyptus, Cedarwood Atlas, Lavender and Citronella
The following is a recipe that is being repeated across a number of equine web sites and blogs and we have local evidence of it being very effective:
“This recipe smells good, keeps the flies away, leaves the coat beautifully shiny and there is no build up. 3 caps of dettol from a 500 ml size bottle 250ml Avon Skin so Soft and Fresh. 1 teaspoon each of: Tea tree, Eucalyptus, Cedarwood Atlas, Lavender and Citronella

Tamanu Oil (Calophyllum inophyllum)
Our Tamanu Oil is 100% pure oil NOT mixed with olive oil! It is imported from a reputable source who sell Tamanu worldwide.
Much has been written about this miracle oil and many claims have been made. It is suggested as treatment for acne & acne scars, burns & blisters, psoriasis, diabetic sores, sunburn, dry or scaly skin, age spots, eczema, athletes foot, the relief of neuralgia, sciatica & rheumatism, foot and body odours, insect bites; the list goes on! It is now also used extensively in cosmetic applications. The great success of this oil is its ability to penetrate the three layers of our skin i.e. the Epidermis, Dermis and Hypodermis.
It has a pleasant nutty smell which we think will mix well with sandalwood and rose and make a fantastic massage blend.
We have found it to be non-greasy and absorbs easily and a little will go along way. Use regularly for best results.
Warning: Tamanu is made from nuts so do not use if there is any chance that you may have a nut allergy.
