A warming and stimulating essential oil. Add to a massage blend for use either before or after sporting activities to promote stamina and ease tired and stiff muscles. An ideal essential oil for inhalation and to keep the digestive system in good order. Noted as being an antidepressant. The active ingredient is an alkaloid called piperine, which has been found to stimulate digestion and has antidepressant effects.
Blends well with: cypress, frankincense, sandalwood and spice oils.
Precautions: Black pepper oil is an irritant and is toxic. Use in dilutions of no more than 1% in a blend. It may over stimulate the kidneys if used in excess.
